Implant-Supported Bridge
Dental implants are quite versatile in their use. Two dental implants can be placed to span a distance of missing teeth, similar to a conventional bridge. Dental implants are placed into the jaw bone and allowed to heal, locking them into place with the surrounding bone. One this occurs, impressions are taken in order for the Dentist and dental laboratory to fabricate the bridge. the bridge which will be connected to the implants with post-like adapters called implant abutments. The bridge can be secured in place with either dental cement and with small screws. Implant-supported bridges do need to be cleaned like a convention bridge, with toothbrush and floss, to sustain long-term health.
